Trench Former Catch Basins

TF-14 Catch Basins come in two styles. The 1900 series is for in-line use at the end of trench runs. The 2 x 2 ft. (610 x 610 mm) 1600 series can be used as trench termination points or as stand-alone area drains. Both series employ deform grooves and no-float legs. The no-float legs and the catch basins are color keyed for easy installation.

1900 Series Catch Basin

The 1900 series catch basins are 14 in. (350 mm) wide x 2 ft. (610 mm) long flat bottom units, manufactured in 2 ft. (610 mm) and 3 ft. (915 mm) depths. They utilize 2ft. (610 mm) long rail (#1492), standard trench grates, locking devices, and end rails.

1600 Series Catch Basin

The 1600 series catch basins are 2 ft. (610 mm) x 2 ft. (610 mm) and are available in both 2 ft. (610 mm) and 3 ft. (915 mm) depths. This series uses two 2 ft. (610 mm) long frame rails (#1492) and two end rails (#1492EF). Frame rail components clip together with no additional hardware required.

1600 Series Grate

The 1600 catch basin grate is 585 x 610 x 38 mm (23 x 24 x 112 in.) cast iron and meets AASHTO H-20 Load Rating.

Special End Rail

Where the 1600 Series Catch Basin is stand along, both end rails are #1492EF. When there is a trench run connecting to only one end of the catch basin, one #1492EF and one #1492 EFR are used. When trench runs split on both ends of the catch basin, boht end rails are #1492 EFR. The receivers on the #1492 EFR align and retain the end of the trench rails for a secure and precise fit.
